Getting Personal

Outside of my passion for all things wellness, I have been traveling through life with my husband and partner of 30 years, Jim Root. We have two boys, Jimmy (17) and Christopher (14), who keep us busy with hockey, scouts, and their day-to-day growing-upness. I love cooking and taking cooking classes, (I cook from the heart with a healthy twist, just like my mom did), and I enjoy reading memoirs because they are often inspiring wellness stories. My two favorite fitness activities are swimming and walking, but if I had to pick one—hands down—walking! To stay in my wellness zone, I have been known to strike out for a 10-minute walk on a moments notice.
